| Winter Veil Festivities The Council of Stormwind and the Senate of Ironforge arranged a whole day of Winter Veil fun on the 29th. The main organizers were, of course, Minister Boozeboat and Chancellor Blackforge - with the help of Sebastian Hutchins, known to many as Mr. Azapha.
The festivities started in Stormwind with a Winter Veil themed market, and a grand amount of people were drawn in by the smell of eggnog, hot chocolate and fresh bakery goods, as well as the sounds of laughter and the music of Mr. Saddhaarma and his goblin band. The goods varied from the aforementioned treats to Winter Veil ornaments, survival gear, woodwork and fun gnomish gadgets!
Minister Boozeboat was seen standing on a central location with a large sack. She was collecting toy and money donations for the orphanage of Stormwind. Commander Blackthorne of the Wardens of Azeroth spent most of the market by her side, reportedly talking about breeding foxes and remembering the children of Westfall as well. Several hours later, in the early hours of the next day, witnesses saw Minister Boozeboat just outside the orphanage sending a cart full of boxes towards Westfall.
Before that, however, the festivities continued in Ironforge right after the market. The Senate had prepared a grand feast, but Chancellor Blackforge himself wasn't seen after Stormwind. Some suspect that he was eaten by the being that had been seen in the Deeprun Tram (see the last issue).
Luckily Mr. Hutchins and Minister Boozeboat managed just fine, and grabbed one Denden Scrungen as a replacement judge for the caroling contest. The caroling wasn't very popular, however, and there were only two contestants: Kelinn's Naughty Little Helpers, a duet, and the winner, Saddhaarma.
The sled racing in the mountains of Dun Morogh was a much larger success, however. That, too, was won by Saddhaarma and his significant other, Senator Felha. The evening ended with a spontaneous snowball fight that forced everyone to get back into their homes to warm up.
All in all, it was a grand beginning for Minister Boozeboat's career in Stormwind, and one of the best events the Senate has arranged within the last year. I don't know about you, but we are certainly looking forwards to the next events.
